"The power of the dream, the faith in things unseen"
Tahun 2008 baru saja lewat, kini kita mulai menapaki tahun 2009. Ada baiknya kita sejenak merenungkan kembali tentang tujuan hidup atau keinginan yang ingin kita capai (impian). Bisa jadi apa yang telah kita raih selama tahun kemarin adalah sia-sia karena tidak semakin mendekati impian. Orang bijak berkata, ”Seseorang yang memiliki tujuan jelas akan meraih kemajuan, walaupun melalui jalan yang sulit. Sebaliknya, orang yang tidak punya tujuan tidak akan maju meskipun jalannya mulus.”
Merancang tujuan membuat kita memiliki arahan untuk menjalani hidup dengan baik. Sekalipun jalan yang kita lalui berat, proses perjalanan tak sulit untuk dilewati. Memiliki tujuan membuat kita memiliki motivasi. Impian dapat melahirkan keyakinan untuk mewujudkan hal-hal yang belum kita lihat.Kekuatan impan pula yang bisa membuat oprang melakukan sesuatu yang begitu spektakuler melintasi batasan/kendala fisik dan kodisi obyektif. Impian akan memberi dorongan efergi, semangat atau roh inspiratif untuk melakukan hal-hal yang tidak dapat dipraktikkan sebelumnya.
Tidaklah terlalu penting di mana kita berada dahulu atau di mana kita berada sekarang, yang terpenting adalah ke amana tujuan kita saat ini. Pertanyaan saya: Apakah tujuan hidup Anda? Jangan-jangan Anda tidak punya tujuan hidup. Silakan merenungi pertanyaan saya, sembari menikmati lagu “Power of the Dream” yang dinyanyikan oleh Celine Dion.
